Everything began with our ERPConnect product in 2004. That was inspired by the fact that, at the time, there were no suitable solutions for SAP integration for .Net. So Patrick Theobald decided to find his own solution, determined not to leave it to someone else.

In 2012, we launched ERPConnect Services, a process integration solution for linking SAP and SharePoint with each other. It was primarily developed in response to the requirement to integrate workflow applications.

In 2018, we had a new product in the Xtract family: Xtract for Alteryx! This plug-in solution is embedded in the Alteryx Designer and enables the direct data transfer from SAP systems to Alteryx.

The next logical step was to offer more solutions for SAP integration, based on ERPConnect. Consequently, we released Xtract IS in 2006. It is a SAP integration tool which is embedded in the SQL Server Integration Services.

Due to numerous customer inquieries worldwide, we decided to open our fifth location in Dongguan (东莞市) in 2019. This enables us, in combination with our existing subsidiary in Hong Kong, to support the Asian market and our customers there even further.

Theobald Software was able to win Dieter Schmitt as CRO to support the current management team. After starting in his role at the end of 2022, he officially became managing director in the spring of 2023. In particular, Dieter handles the integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions, including marketing, sales, customer support, pricing, and revenue management, helping to advance the business in a sustainable manner.

Under the leadership of Patrick Theobald, Theobald Software has continuously developed over the past years. In order to continue this development, Peter Wohlfarth joins the management board.

After we launched Xtract IS, we received more and more enquires about other system environments, so we developed our universal interface for SAP integration in 2010. Xtract Universal continues to be extended to cover additional target environments to this day.

As more enquiries came in, our need for talent kept on increasing. For this reason, we have been a dual partner with DHBW Stuttgart since 2011. We now regularly offer study places for students in the fields of Computer Science, Business Informatics and Business Administration - Digital Business Management.

"Theobald goes USA!" To handle the huge number of enquiries we were getting from the USA, we had to take the necessary step and open our subsidiary in Seattle, right next to Microsoft. This enabled us to respond to enquiries quickly and provide clients with optimum support.

Theobald Software was founded in Stuttgart in 2004. Since then, our company has evolved to become the leading supplier of SAP integration solutions.

On the basis of Xtract IS, we developed the product Xtract IS for Azure in 2018. This solution enables seamless integration between SAP and the Microsoft Azure-SSIS Integration Runtime. Using Xtract IS for Azure is the easiest way to bring SAP data into the cloud.

yunIO is our ultra-slim tool to connect web or cloud applications, such as a cloud CRM, to SAP. From now on, employees no longer have to leave the environment they are familiar with in order to access business processes that take place in the cloud. True to our motto, we’ve turned difficult easy again.

Grow strong together! In 2022 we welcomed our fiftieth employee. TEAM SPIRIT is very important to us and we support each other at all times. We look forward to every new team member!

With Bregal Unternehmerkapital, Theobald Software has gained a strong shareholder. The goal of the partnership is to proceed to achieve continuous, healthy growth and to open up new markets that will sustainably advance the company.

With Christian Bohne, Theobald Software is strengthening its finance department in particular. The experienced CFO will join Peter Wohlfarth on the company's management board. Together they will drive the further development of Theobald Software.

Theobald Software is strengthening its top management with Thomas Bruggner and Michael Bässler: Dr. Thomas Bruggner will take up the position of CEO on September 1st, replacing General Manager Peter Wohlfarth. Michael Bässler joins the company as the first CTO in its history. With the personnel changes at the top management level, Theobald Software is strategically positioning itself for the next stage in the company's further development.
