Xtract IS is the perfect solution for customers that already use or plan to use Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS) as a platform for building enterprise-level data integration and data transformation solutions. SSIS is among the most popular ETL solutions and customers use it to extract and transform data from different data sources, such as flat files or relational data sources, and then load the data into one or more destinations.
For the SSIS developer, this means you can continue to work in your familiar environment – the SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) - to connect to one or more SAP systems and to design and test the SAP data flows. The Xtract IS source components for SAP are available inside the SSIS toolbox, along with the standard SSIS data sources, transformations and destinations. Simply drag-and-drop and configure the SAP source with a few mouse clicks - no coding or scripting required.
For the SSIS administrator, this means that SSIS package deployment, scheduling and monitoring for your SAP data flows is no different from other data flows.
