INTER Versicherungsgruppe is an independent company that offers a comprehensive range of products for both private consumers and businesscustomers. The company’s specialized offerings are aimed in particular at customers from the medical and skilled trades sectors. Around 1,500 employees work in the office and in the field for the group of companies.
Various measures for process optimization through digitization are on the digital agenda of the insurance group INTER Versicherungsgruppe. The company has therefore decided to introduce an employee self-service portal (ESS) that staff can use to access HR management-related information and perform certain transactions using any end device. Since sensitive employee-related information from SAP R3 also needed to be made available via the web-based tool, it was necessary to ensure that data could be transferred efficiently and securely from SAP to a secure Microsoft SQL server, which acts as a central database and can provide access to the ESS and other systems.
Xtract IS is a critical core element responsible for our transformation into a data-driven company. Data can be reliably transferred back and forthbetween SAP and non-SAP systems, and it is much more time- and cost-effective than conventional data exports, all without major maintenance requirements for the interface.
