Telkomsel (PT Telekomunikasi Selular) is an Indonesian wireless network provider. The company, which was founded in 1995, is headquartered inJakarta and has more than 5,000 employees. With more than 167 million customers, Telkomsel is currently Indonesia’s largest wireless carrier. Theirwireless network provides coverage to more than 90 percent of the Indonesian population.
After migrating their ERP systems to SAP, Telkomsel was faced with the challenge of finding a way to maintain SAP master data with the help of a SharePoint-based approval workflow. The aim was for each business unit to be able to submit a request to change the master data, for example to register a new supplier or update customer data. The request then had to be approved by the responsible department (Procurement, Accounting, Financing, etc.) and created automatically in SAP.
ERPConnect Services has allowed us to optimize our master data management process in SAP. The software is able to seamlessly integrate twoapparently unconnected systems (SharePoint and SAP) with little effort and at reasonable costs.
